Our Stated Communication for January took place on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.  Our Secretary read one new petition.  We had committee reports read with all progressing as reported.  As part of the Bylaws Committee, PGM Davis read for the Third time a proposed amendment to the Bylaws, Article’s XIII and XV, which affect the amount of money required to submit with a petition for a new member and the total fees and dues assessed for these new members.  After the Third reading a vote was taken among lodge members with a unanimous vote.  The approved bylaw change will now be sent to the Grand Lodge of DE for their approval.

Our guest speaker for the month was Captain Jeff Evans who gave a tremendous talk about the Helicopter Rescue Team.  Captain Evans is also a PM of Hiram Lodge #25 of Newark.  Many of the brothers in attendance complimented Captain Evans on his presentation and all from Christiana #35 THANK all the men and woman who “Serve and Protect” our State.   

During the Stated Communication birthdays were celebrated for January. Brother Tim Mulrooney was conducted to the altar where he was presented with one of my pins and we sang Happy Birthday.  Brother Tim Mulrooney also gave a committee report for the Masonic Home.    The lodge was closed in ample form after which we retired to the fellowship hall for refreshments.

Our guest speakers for February will be Marsha Bright, wife of our JS Ken Bright, and a representative from DeMolay who will speak about our Masonic youth and what we as Masons can do to help grow these organizations.  WM Ron Keller from Jackson Lodge No. 19 in DE City is the Executive Officer for DeMolay in the State of Delaware.  The Delaware State Association of DeMolay Chapters is holding their installation of officers on January 28, 2012.  The Installation will be held at Temple Lodge #9, A.F. and A. M. in Milford, DE.

I’m personally reaching out to all PM’s and Brothers of Christiana #35 to help SW Fred Lynch while I need to turn my attention to some health issues.  The SW and I try to meet once a week to answer any questions he may have but I need all PM’s to reach out to SW Lynch to offer their help and guidance.
