Brethren, I hope everyone is surviving this crazy winter we’re having. As you all may know I had to postpone the February Stated until February 23rd. We had a pretty good showing that evening as we hosted another dinner at 6:30pm for our wives as well. My wife Sandi had a project for the ladies while we conducted our meeting and then at 8:30pm we invited everyone into the lodge room for a presentation by Brother David Price of Solomon #36 on Mason’s in the Civil War and at Fort Delaware. It was a very impressive look back in history at what our ancestors did in a most uncertain time. This Tuesday we will have our March Stated Meeting in normal style. Our guest speaker is MW Glenn F. Davis, Sr., PGM and our lodge Secretary. His presentation will be on Enthusiasm. Please come out for an exciting meeting. Our Steward’s Committee will be providing food once again at the conclusion of our meeting. This past Sunday Night I implemented a Phone Calling system with the help of my brother Jim who is a Fellow Craft member of Christiana Lodge. This system will keep our membership up to date with important information of upcoming events as well as any cancellations or postponements of future events. The Trestleboard has always been a great conduit of information; however it takes awhile for it to finally get to your mailbox. This one is going out First Class Mail; every other time we use our Permit which takes much longer. The calling system is an addition to our communication tools, not a replacement. From this day forward, the phone number for Christiana Lodge Events is: 302-379-7768. This number will appear on your caller ID for all future Informational Calls from Christiana Lodge #35. It can also be used to gain valuable information of upcoming events. Calling this number will give you a host of options; all of which I trust you will find interesting. Please give it a try in the coming days. Our current communication tools are: the Trestleboard, Website, Email, Personal Phone Calls, Automated Phone Calls and word of mouth. Relatively soon you will be able to update your contact information on our website by going to: www.christiana35.org/members. When filling out this form please note that this information gets emailed to me directly and not stored anywhere online. We are in the process of updating our database and need this info if you have moved or changed phones.
